i am i default on a school loan i didnt know existed now i cant get a grant to go to school now i have no money to fix it i need free advice

i am in default on a student loan from twenty years ago i did not drop my classes or finish the program i didnt understand about default i need to go to school now but can not cause i have this default and can not be eligable for a grant i have no money to fix the problem i am a single mom on welfare i want to go to school for a better job how can i make the default go away with out paying it back it i need free advicd

I am in default, with no income to repay my school loan through sallymay.  I have no means of any money to repay and I need help to settle the loan.  Any help is much apprieciated.  mike
